Clean Drinking Water
“Safe and reliable drinking water”
Most of the people of Nepal do not have access to clean and safe drinking water. People have to walk a long distance for water. Especially in the hilly areas of Nepal, before the 2015 earthquake, water springs dried up. Every day hundreds of poor families of Nepal suffer from the lack of clean and safe water. Communities have been compelled to drink the water of ponds and unsafe water reserves. As the water is untested people suffer from water-borne diseases.
In order to make life safer for the poor communities of Nepal, FAN will conduct a clean drinking water project. By this project, FAN will help to build water taps or hand pumps for people who do not have safe water resources so that people can be safe from harmful water-borne diseases and extend their life.
